The entrance to Harbor River is located off of Bulls Bay near the Awendaw Creek and Long Creek. The land nearby is in McClellanville, Charleston County, SC. The surrounding island are part of the Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge. McClellanville is a small town reliant on its fishing, shrimping and oystering. The area is surrounded by the Francis Marion National Forest.
