Boating, Fishing, and Travel Information for Bluffton, SC

Bluffton is a town in Beaufort County, SC. Its history includes being a hub for those supporting the separatist sentiment during the Antebellum era, and a protest in 1844 called the Bluffton Movement led the state to be the first to seceede from the Union. During the Civil War, more than half of the town was destroyed by fire, and the rebuilding came slowly over the next decade. Now, the town has become a tourist destination due to its location between Hilton Head and Savannah. It is also home to many historical houses, art galleries, higher education institutions and shopping areas.
